Using Paste Special in Google Sheets

Paste Special allows you to copy Conditional formatting, Data validation and more within Google Sheets.

How do I do this?

Step 1 - In Google Sheets right-click and select copy or use the shortcut CTRL+C (command+C Mac)

Step 2 - Select the location where you want to paste some of the contents

Step 3 - Right-click, select ‘Paste Special’ and select what you want to paste

There are the following options you can choose from:

Values only

Format only

Condition formatting only

Data validation only

Transpose (switch rows to columns or columns to rows)

Column width only

All except borders
