Using Microsoft Teams as your Hub for Communication and Collaboration

Microsoft Teams is your hub for communication and collaboration. It’s designed to simplify how you work, so you can access everything you need in one place. You can sit down to work, open Teams, and everything you need is in one place.

This app lets you chat, schedule meetings, video call and even access all your files.

Here are 5 tips to help you use Microsoft Teams as your hub:

  1. Microsoft Teams can be accessed on the web, there’s a desktop app and mobile app. When on your computer, we’d recommend using the desktop app to get the best experience.

  2. On the left-hand side, you have the main navigation options. Activity will be your notification feed for any messages or missed calls in Teams. The Chat section can be used for 1:1 messaging and group chats.

  1. The Teams section is where you can create structures to communicate and share files with colleagues or clients.

  2. In the Calendar section, you can schedule and join Teams meetings. This is your Outlook calendar, so anything you schedule here is scheduled in Outlook.

  1. The OneDrive section is where you can access OneDrive and SharePoint files. So you can create and upload files to OneDrive without leaving Microsoft Teams.
