How to Find Your Largest Files in Google Drive

Is your Google Drive storage almost full? Finding your largest files in Google Drive is the fastest way to free up some space without deleting thousands of small documents.

How to Find Your Largest Files in Google Drive

Google Drive actually has a dedicated page that automatically lists every file in your account from largest to smallest - it couldn't be simpler!

Step 1 - Open your Google Drive and navigate to the left-hand menu

Step 2 - Click the 'Storage' tab at the bottom of the menu

Google Drive sidebar showing menu options: New, Home, Activity, Workspaces, My Drive, Shared drives, and Storage with 6.64 GB used.

A list of files will appear, showing from largest to smallest. Along the top, you will see your storage figures for Google Drive, Gmail and Photos. This can be useful as it might be Gmail or Photos that are eating up more of your storage.

If you would like to delete older files, you can utilise the 'Modified' drop-down to sort by date.

Don't forget to check your bin/trash, as files in there can count towards your storage quota for 30 days.
