With Google Docs files in Google Drive, you can use the Gemini 'Catch me up' feature to get an update on any changes to the document since you last viewed it.
If there is something to catch up on, you will see the Gemini icon next to the Google Doc file.
Step 1 - Click the Gemini icon.

Step 2 - The Gemini panel will open, and it will give you the 'key takeaways' from the last time you opened the Google Document.

Step 3 - You can ask follow-up questions; Gemini will suggest some, or you can enter your own prompt. Below, it shows me what Lauren has added to the document and links to it.
