Mystery Solved: Where Did My Google Calendar Event Go?
You log into Google Calendar and realise someone is missing!
Mystery: An event disappeared from your Google Calendar schedule. Where did it go, and how do you get it back?
It's easy to accidentally delete a Google Calendar event without noticing. We are constantly editing training invites and adding attendees, and now and then we accidentally click delete, which is fine if you notice straight away and can select 'Undo'. But if you don't notice right away, this can be alarming!
But like Gmail or Google Drive, Google Calendar has a bin! (trash) So you never lose anything.
Here is how to solve the mystery and bring your events back to life.
Solution Number 1 - The Google Calendar Bin
Step 1 - To locate your missing event, click the settings wheel and then 'Bin' (or 'Trash').

Step 2 - The bin will open, and you should see the deleted event you are looking for.

Step 3 - To restore the event, select the event and then use the arrow icon to restore the event.

Deleted events will stay in your bin for 30 days.
Solution Number 2 - Hidden Calendars
Sometimes the event won't have been deleted at all; you just cannot see it in your current view. Let's check that we have the correct calendars toggled on.
Step 1 - Scroll to your 'My calendars' section on the left side of Google Calendar.

Step 2 - Make sure the calendar you created the missing event in is selected
Solution Number 3 - Did you decline the event?
Our final suspect: did you decline the invite? If so, it may have disappeared from your calendar, but there is an option to see declined events in your Google Calendar.
Step 1 - Click on the settings wheel and then 'Settings'.
Step 2 - Scroll to 'View options' and select 'Show declined events'.
