How to Pin Messages in the New Outlook

Keep your important messages front and centre with the new pinning feature in the New Outlook (on Windows, Mac & the Web).

Some people don't like change, but the New Outlook is giving us some great productivity features, and the Pinning feature is one of our favourites for two reasons:

  • You can pin critical emails so they stay at the top of your Inbox

  • You'll never lose track of important conversations.

We haven't found a limit for pinning yet, but remember to limit the number of emails you pin; otherwise, it becomes less useful.

Step 1 - Open your Inbox

Step 2 - Hover over the message you would like to pin, and you will see the pin icon. In between the flag and bin icon, click this to pin.

You will then see the pinned emails at the top of your inbox

This is great for managing your inbox as a to-do list.
