Messages can move fast in Microsoft Teams. Teams can be a constant stream of messages, and once a message scrolls up, it’s gone forever.

One second, Lauren pings me a crucial file or a request for next Tuesday's meeting, I read it think 'I'll get back to that', and then I've missed it. Microsoft Teams has a save message feature, meaning you will never forget a task. You can save the message, and it will sit in your Saved section in Microsoft Teams.

Save messages in Microsoft Teams

Step 1 - Hover over any message.

Step 2 - Click the three dots (...) and select Save this message.

Chat menu with options: Forward, Copy link, Save this message, Pin, Mark as unread, Share, Translate, and More actions.

Step 3 - To find them later, click your profile icon in the top right and select 'Saved'.

Chat interface showing options like Unread, Channels, Chats, and side menu with Copilot, Discover, Drafts, and Saved highlighted.

You have created a to-Do list with your chat history.

Once you’ve completed the task, just click the bookmark icon next to the message in your Saved list to remove it.
